Contract Web Developer in Bergen


We are seeking a skilled and motivated Web Developer to join our team in Bergen on a contract basis. As a Web Developer, you will be responsible for designing, coding, and modifying websites, from layout to function and according to our specifications. You will also be involved in creating visually appealing user interfaces and ensuring the functionality and performance of web applications. This position offers a salary of 1500$ per month, as well as accommodation options for non-local candidates.

Responsibilities:
- Design and develop user-friendly web interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Optimize websites for maximum speed and scalability
- Ensure website compatibility across different browsers and devices
- Troubleshoot issues with existing websites and implement solutions in a timely manner
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve skills

Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Web Developer or similar role
- Proficient understanding of front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress or Drupal
- Experience with responsive design principles and mobile-first development
- Strong understanding of web performance optimization techniques
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with team members effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
