Crane Operator - Svalbard

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Crane Operator to join our team in Svalbard. As a crane operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of cranes, including mobile, tower, and overhead cranes. Your main duties will include lifting and moving heavy materials, performing safety checks and maintenance on the cranes, and following all safety protocols.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a crane operator
- Valid crane operator certification
- Proven knowledge of different types of cranes and their operations
- Ability to work in harsh weather conditions
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
- Strong attention to detail and safety procedures

Responsibilities:
- Operate different types of cranes according to job requirements
- Perform pre-operational checks on the crane before each use
- Ensure safe loading, unloading, lifting, and moving of materials using the crane
- Maintain proper communication with ground crew and other operators during operations
- Conduct routine maintenance on the crane to ensure safe operation at all times
- Follow all safety regulations and protocols at all times

Salary:
This is a contract job with a salary of $1000 per month. Accommodation is not provided.

This position is located in Svalbard, an archipelago situated between Norway and the North Pole. It is known for its unique wildlife, rugged landscapes, and extreme weather conditions.
