Preservation Architect
As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures in Greenland. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure that preservation projects are completed successfully and in accordance with preservation standards and regulations. Your main duties will include conducting site surveys, preparing preservation plans and reports, overseeing construction activities, and providing guidance on the use of appropriate materials and techniques for preservation projects. Additionally, you may be required to conduct research on historical buildings and provide recommendations for their long-term preservation.
To excel in this role, you should have a degree in Architecture or a related field, along with at least 3 years of experience in historic preservation. You must have a strong understanding of architectural design principles, as well as knowledge of historic building materials, construction techniques, and preservation methods. Excellent communication skills are essential for this role as you will be collaborating with various stakeholders on preservation projects. A passion for historic buildings and cultural heritage is also important for this position.
