Executive Pastry Chef


We are in search of a highly skilled and creative Executive Pastry Chef to join our team in Faro, Portugal. As an Executive Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our pastry department and ensuring that all pastries and desserts are of the highest quality. You will also be responsible for creating new and innovative pastry recipes, managing inventory and ordering supplies, as well as training and supervising pastry staff.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new and unique pastry recipes that align with our menu offerings
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and taste
- Oversee the training and development of pastry staff
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Monitor food costs, waste, and portion control to ensure profitability
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Collaborate with other chefs to create cohesive menus
- Stay updated on industry trends to continuously improve our offerings
- Create special desserts for events or special occasions

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant or hotel
- Extensive knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures for baking pastries and desserts
- Creativity in developing new recipes while maintaining traditional techniques
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with food safety regulations
- Good communication skills

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1300 per month based on experience.
