Android Developer


We are currently seeking an experienced Android Developer to join our team in Akron. As an Android Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced applications for the Android platform.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop innovative and user-friendly mobile applications for the Android platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Identify and fix bugs and performance issues
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
- Stay up-to-date with new trends and advancements in mobile development

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in developing Android applications
- Proficient in Java, Kotlin, XML, and other relevant programming languages
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
- Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles and ability to translate them into code
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Good communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with remote data via RESTful APIs and JSON
- Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
- Experience with cross-platform mobile development frameworks such as React Native or Flutter
- Published at least one original app on the Google Play Store
