Entry-Level Librarian
Location: Alta, Norway


We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Librarian in our library in Alta, Norway. As an Entry-Level Librarian, you will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the library, including organizing and maintaining the collection, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and providing excellent customer service.

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1600$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with the organization and maintenance of the library's collection
- Help patrons with research and reference inquiries
- Provide excellent customer service to all patrons
- Assist with library programming and events
- Maintain accurate records of library materials and transactions
- Collaborate with other library staff to improve services and collections
- Stay up-to-date on trends in library technology and services

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Library Science or related field (preferred)
- Proficient in using technology for research purposes (e.g. databases, search engines)
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluent in English (Norwegian proficiency is a plus)
- Biometric passport (required for employment in Norway)
