DevOps Developer

As a DevOps Developer in our company, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our systems and infrastructure. Your role will involve working closely with software developers, system administrators, and other IT professionals to ensure that our systems are reliable, scalable, and secure. You will also be involved in automating processes and implementing continuous integration and delivery pipelines. This is a contract position with a salary of 1600$ per month, based in Mauren. We welcome applicants from Kenya who are fluent in English and have a valid biometric passport. No prior experience is required for this role.

As a DevOps Developer, your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with software developers to understand their needs and optimize the development process.
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure on cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Automating processes using tools like Ansible or Puppet.
- Implementing continuous integration and delivery pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab.
- Monitoring system performance and identifying areas for improvement.
- Troubleshooting issues that may arise with the infrastructure or applications.
- Ensuring security compliance by implementing best practices and monitoring for vulnerabilities.

To excel in this role, you should have:
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible or Puppet.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab.
- Understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP and DNS.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
