Junior Database Administrator


We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Database Administrator to join our growing team in Kolding. As a Junior Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the maintenance, performance, integrity, and security of our databases. You will also assist in the development and implementation of database strategies and ensure that data is backed up and recoverable in case of emergency. This is an entry-level position, so no prior experience is required, but knowledge of database management systems such as MySQL or Oracle is preferred. This role offers a salary of 1000$ per month and does not include accommodation.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Ensure data security and implement necessary measures to protect against unauthorized access.
- Backup data regularly and test recovery procedures.
- Develop and implement database strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to integrate databases with other systems.
- Maintain documentation of database systems, processes, and procedures.
- Upgrade databases as needed to ensure compatibility with new technologies.
- Provide timely support for any database-related issues.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of database management systems such as MySQL or Oracle.
- Familiarity with data backup, recovery, security, and integrity principles.
- Understanding of SQL language for querying databases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English (Danish proficiency is a plus).
- Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Location:
This position is based in Kolding, Denmark. Candidates must have the legal right to work in Denmark without sponsorship.

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1000$ per month.
