Land Surveyor – Doha
Job Summary:
We are looking to fill a position of Land Surveyor in Doha. This role is responsible for conducting surveys of land, sea and air for the purpose of making maps and measurements for construction, mining and other purposes. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking accurate measurements of land boundaries and compiling the data into maps that can be used for various purposes.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Conduct surveys to determine exact boundaries, elevations, dimensions, location and other characteristics of a piece of land or property.
• Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings and aerial photographs using mathematical calculations to determine measurement information in order to define boundaries.
• Compile data collected from surveys in order to create reports, maps or other documents as needed.
• Communicate with clients or contractors before beginning survey projects in order to determine specific needs or objectives.
• Use survey equipment such as Total Stations (TS), Global Positioning System (GPS) devices or levelers in order to collect data on site.
• Operate drones equipped with cameras or other instruments in order to take aerial photographs or videos of survey sites.
• Inspect survey sites in person before beginning any work in order to ensure accuracy and safety when utilizing surveying equipment on site.
• Monitor weather conditions or other factors that could affect the accuracy or precision of survey results prior to beginning work at a site.
Requirements & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying Engineering or related field preferred but not required; equivalent experience may be considered
• Knowledge of standard surveying methods and techniques used for boundary surveys required
• Ability to interpret maps, drawings, topographic data sets familiarization with GPS systems required
• Proficient computer skills including experience with AutoCAD software preferred
• Excellent communication skills required as well as ability to accurately interpret field notes
