Executive Chef - African Cuisine (Contract, Visa Sponsorship)
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Executive Chef with a passion for African cuisine to join our team in Ar-Ruwais, Qatar. This is a contract position without accommodation, but with visa sponsorship provided.
As our Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and team management. You will have the opportunity to showcase your expertise in African cuisine and contribute to the development of our menu offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and develop menus that feature authentic African dishes
- Oversee food preparation and ensure quality and consistency
- Manage kitchen staff and delegate tasks effectively
- Train new employees on proper cooking techniques and sanitation standards
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations
- Collaborate with management to develop new dishes and improve existing ones
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting
- In-depth knowledge of African cuisine and cooking techniques
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Valid work visa for Qatar (sponsorship provided)
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
