Livestock Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Livestock Specialist to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a Livestock Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the health and production of livestock, including cattle, sheep, goats, and poultry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting regular health checks on all livestock and providing necessary medical treatment
- Developing and implementing feeding plans to ensure optimal nutrition for livestock
- Monitoring and maintaining proper living conditions for livestock, including housing, ventilation, sanitation, and temperature control
- Identifying potential diseases or health issues in livestock and taking appropriate measures to prevent outbreaks
- Managing breeding programs to improve the quality of livestock
- Overseeing the transportation of livestock to markets or other locations as needed
- Providing training and guidance to other staff members on proper care and handling of livestock
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience working with livestock, preferably in a similar role
- Extensive knowledge of animal husbandry techniques and best practices for managing the health of livestock
- Ability to identify symptoms of common diseases in livestock and provide appropriate treatment
- Strong understanding of nutrition requirements for different types of livestock
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Must be physically fit and able to perform manual labor as needed
Preference will be given to candidates who are Pakistani nationals with prior experience working in Saudi Arabia. This is a non English-speaking job with no accommodation provided.
