Housekeeping Manager
The Housekeeping Manager will oversee the cleaning and maintenance operations of a hotel or resort in Umm-Said, Qatar. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team of housekeeping staff to ensure high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction are met.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement housekeeping procedures to maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for guests and staff.
- Train and supervise housekeeping staff, including scheduling shifts, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, and place orders as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure prompt resolution of guest complaints or requests related to housekeeping.
- Maintain records of housekeeping activities such as cleaning schedules, room occupancy rates, and maintenance requests.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures, techniques, and equipment.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Attention to detail with a strong focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (knowledge of Arabic is an advantage).
- Must be legally authorized to work in Qatar.
Preferred:
- Indian nationality preferred but not required.
