Livestock Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Livestock Specialist to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a Livestock Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the health and well-being of our livestock, ensuring their proper care and management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular health checks on all livestock, including cattle, sheep, goats, and poultry.
- Monitor feed and water intake of livestock to ensure proper nutrition.
- Administer vaccinations and medications as needed to maintain herd health.
- Ensure proper housing and living conditions for all livestock.
- Manage breeding programs to optimize production and genetic diversity.
- Oversee the handling and transportation of livestock.
- Maintain accurate records of herd health, production, and expenses.
- Train and supervise farm workers in handling and caring for livestock.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working with livestock.
- Strong knowledge of animal husbandry practices and techniques.
- Experience with breeding programs preferred.
- Ability to diagnose and treat common livestock diseases.
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic language skills are a plus).
- Physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
This is a full-time position with regular working hours. However, some flexibility may be required during peak seasons or emergencies. The candidate must have their own valid visa for employment in Saudi Arabia. Accommodation will not be provided for this role.
