Petroleum Production Engineer
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Petroleum Production Engineer to join our team in Ar-Ruwais, Qatar. As a Petroleum Production Engineer, you will be responsible for maximizing the production of oil and gas from wells, while ensuring safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement production systems for oil and gas wells
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with geologists, reservoir engineers, and other team members to optimize production strategies
- Conduct well tests and analyze results to determine well performance
- Develop plans for artificial lift systems, including gas lift, electric submersible pumps, and rod pumps
- Evaluate potential new wells for development and determine optimal spacing between wells
- Troubleshoot production issues and develop solutions to increase efficiency
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend maintenance or upgrades as needed
- Maintain accurate records of production data, costs, equipment performance, and other relevant information
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in petroleum engineering
- Strong knowledge of production optimization techniques
- Experience with artificial lift systems
- Familiarity with industry software such as Petrel or Eclipse
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field
- Previous experience working in the oil and gas industry in Qatar
- Fluency in English (spoken and written)
