Executive Chef - Salalah, Oman (Contract)
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Salalah, Oman on a contract basis. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our culinary operations including menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as an Executive Chef and a passion for creating delicious and innovative dishes. Accommodation will be provided with this position.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and create menus that are both creative and cost-effective
- Oversee food preparation and cooking to ensure high quality standards are met
- Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safe food handling practices
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times
- Monitor food costs and work within budget constraints
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of international cuisines is a plus
