Land Surveyor
As a Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting precise measurements of land and other features to determine property boundaries and create maps. You will use specialized equipment such as total stations and GPS receivers to collect data and analyze it using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Your duties will also include creating reports, determining elevations, and providing accurate measurements for construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct surveys to establish property boundaries, locations of buildings, and other features
- Use total stations, GPS receivers, and other equipment to collect data
- Analyze data using CAD software to create accurate maps and drawings
- Prepare reports detailing survey findings and measurements
- Determine elevations for construction projects
- Ensure accuracy and precision in all surveying activities
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals on construction projects
- Adhere to safety guidelines while working in the field
- Keep up-to-date with new surveying techniques and technologies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in surveying or a related field preferred
- Knowledge of surveying principles, techniques, and equipment
- Experience using CAD software for mapping purposes
- Ability to read maps, blueprints, and technical specifications
- Strong mathematical skills for accurate calculations
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with team members and clients
