Land Surveyor
As a Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting surveys to determine boundaries, elevations, and other features of land or construction sites. You will use specialized equipment such as GPS, total stations, and lasers to collect data and create accurate maps. Your duties will include analyzing survey data, preparing reports and drawings, and communicating with clients and team members.
To excel in this role, you should have a strong understanding of land surveying principles and be able to operate surveying equipment effectively. Experience with software such as AutoCAD and GIS is also preferred. Attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct land surveys using specialized equipment
- Collect data on site conditions, including boundaries, elevations, angles, points of interest
- Create accurate maps and sketches using survey data
- Analyze survey data for accuracy and completeness
- Prepare reports and drawings based on survey findings
- Communicate with clients to understand project requirements
- Coordinate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects
- Keep accurate records of survey data for future reference
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience in land surveying or related field
- Proficiency with land surveying equipment such as GPS, total stations, lasers
- Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD and GIS
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Valid driver's license
