Head Chef
As our Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen and ensuring that our customers receive high-quality meals. You will work closely with the restaurant manager to create menus, manage inventory, and maintain food quality standards. Your leadership skills will be put to the test as you train and supervise kitchen staff, delegate tasks, and ensure a smooth workflow.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a chef in a fast-paced restaurant
- Proven track record of creating innovative and delicious menu items
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
Responsibilities:
- Develop creative and appealing menus that meet customer preferences and dietary needs
- Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure consistent quality
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain efficiency
- Train kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, sanitation standards, and menu items
- Manage scheduling for kitchen staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times
- Collaborate with the restaurant manager to create specials or promotions that drive business
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new ingredients, and cooking techniques
