Experience:
I have Diploma in Security Operations, with over Eighteen years’ experience in
Security Management. I am a trainer, Investigator and general Security Consultant.
Currently, I am a Guarding Manager at GardaWorld, serving clients in Kenya, with a
scope covering Security Operations, Quality Assurance, Compliance for the diverse
client base.
I have had responsibility in many forms, including supervising a team of individuals
and keeping track of a projects' status, to carrying out Security Audits & Risk
Assessments, with routine duties varying, but including:
• Direction and control of all commercial and operational aspects of the
Security Solutions Business Unit to ensure efficient delivery and service to
all internal and external customers.
• The position ensures the highest level of customer satisfaction whilst
achieving organic growth and financial success.
• Lead in the development of the business unit’s budgets and strategies to
achieve the growth plans. Lead and monitor the implementation of
approved budgets and plans.
• Develop organizational arrangements, systems and processes to enable the
efficient and effective deployment of resources in line with business QA
and growth requirements.
• Manage client relations by giving regular updates and convening meetings
to ensure compliance with service delivery expectations.
• Provide leadership and direction for nationwide operations teams. Manage
staff up-skilling within the department to meet current and planned
outputs; build and maintain talent infrastructure and employee
development by assessing capability, identifying gaps and designing
training programs.
• Develop and motivate the operations teams fostering a high level of
cooperation with other senior managers.
• Work within the senior management team in development and achievement
of collective goals.
• Develop and deliver robust internal and external performance reports.
Contribute to the development and delivery of accurate financial reports.

Skills:
• Partner with internal business leaders and site owners to assess risk and implement security protocols. Lead executive stakeholder engagement for Physical Security in the region and provide reporting and metrics to security and business leadership.
• Driving operational best practices and adherence to policy, process, and standards across the organization. Lead across teams of GardaWorld employees and external contractors for consistent adoption and application of security practices.
• Develop and implement strategies to meet security goals and objectives that fulfill requirements of internal and external customers. Support deployment and adoption across the region, and in alignment with peers in other global regions.
• Partner across the Global Security Organization for the research and deployment of state-of-the-art technology solutions and innovative security management techniques, tools and services to facilitate the effectiveness of global security programs.
• Conduct, lead and coordinate complex and sensitive investigations regarding security threats and violations. Coordinate with law enforcement as required.
• Oversee the implementation of employee safety and workplace violence programs that aid in the prevention of threats and violence in the workplace and support response in the event of an incident.
• Support and coordinate with GardaWorld’s Crisis Management, Information Security, and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs and team members.
• Develop organizational capability for physical security risk intelligence and threat monitoring related to the protection of GardaWorld’s employees, facilities, operations and reputation.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with key internal partners, including executive leadership, functional business areas, and site leadership.
• Broad knowledge on incident command systems, Staff training, firefighting and safety, CCTV management, loss prevention, investigations ,health and safety management.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to review, conduct, train and recommend on various security and safety issues.
