Additionally:
• Provision of technical support to Mogalakwena Oil Lab for their journey to ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation. During this time I revised the laboratories SOP’s, implemented quality control measures, and started proficiency testing by interlaboratory comparison for quality assurance
• Revised SOPs included Ferrous Debris, Crackling test, Particle counting, Kinematic Viscosity Tests, FTIR and RDE-OES to all align to ASTM methods
• Start-up of an XRF that had been down for over a year. Managed to achieve instrument availability of 97% in the section
• Calibration, operation and troubleshooting of Spark-OES and XRF
• QA/QC monitoring across all laboratory activity
• Adherence to calibration/verification schedule
• Successfully moved QAQC checks to paperless ecosystem
