Telecommunication technician
Engineer - Technologist
Experience:
1.Ensure sites service are promptly done.
2. Ensure customers complaints are maintained reasonably low.
3. Facilitate smooth reporting system between site, client and northern Engineering Works Ltd.
4. Maintain company assets and properties in good condition.
5. Supervise all employees under my jurisdiction while conducting their duties.
6. Perform the first level maintenance (FLM) of telecommunication equipment elements including microwave (indoor units and antenna), PDH/SDH point to point,BSC/BTS equipment, GSM antenna,etc.
7. Perform Site visit for corrective maintenance as per the fault/active alarms in the network to ensure the compliance to the network KPIs.
8. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of SDH and PDH radio (IDU).
9. Perform maintenance of fiber optics equipment whenever applicable.
10. Perform maintenance of the RF and IF cables and connectors.
11. conduct antenna alignment/re-alignment and ODU/MW horns maintenance.
12. Execute the re-installation and reconfiguration of MW links whenever necessary.
13. Perform preventive maintenance as per the PM schedule.
14. Access network (BSC/BTS, Transmission PDH/SDH) first level fault troubleshooting.
15.Attending to call-out on 24/7 basis.
16. Conduct hardware and software upgrade/downgrade.
17. Reconfiguration of the network when requested by clients.
18. rectification of outage due to hardware and software issues.
19.investigate and resolve faults and escalate fault situation which cannot be resolved to the second level maintenance Engineer
20. Remote monitoring system installation.
Education:
Diploma in telecommunication systems
Skills:
Troubleshooting, configuration, knowledge in Cisco and Huawei switch and routers,technical support,strong analytical, problem solving and knowledge in Microsoft office tools
