• Household tasks: Assisting with light housekeeping duties like cleaning, laundry, and organizing the patient's living space to maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
• Transportation: Transporting the patient to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or
social activities.
• Advocacy: Acting as an advocate for the patient by communicating with healthcare professionals, ensuring that the patient's needs and preferences are addressed, and
participating in care planning discussions.
• Safety supervision: Ensuring the patient's safety by preventing falls, managing hazards, and being alert to any potential risks in the home environment.
• Respite care: Providing relief for family caregivers by offering temporary support and
care, allowing them to take a break from their responsibilities
• End-of-life care: If applicable, offering support and comfort to patients who are in palliative care or hospice, and assisting with pain management and emotional support for both the patient and their loved ones
