Experience:
I am a registered dietitian with 17 years experience, 8 as a clinical dietitian and 9 years in public health. As a clinical dietitian I gained valuable experience and knowledge working in all areas such as NICU, PICU, ICU, CCU, Pediatrics, and postnatal wards. Durban has a large diabetic and overweight community and managing these conditions with their associated co-morbidities is a daily task.
In the public health sector, I manage the nutrition program for the district and am responsible for the development and implementation of nutrition guidelines and policies, facilitating trainings and skill capacitation, collaborating with multistakeholder engagements, and participating in community development.
