Ensure that the working area is free from any obstructions and a barricade is put in place. vii. Set up the crane at job sites, making sure that it is stable and safe by putting in place outriggers, cribbing, and proper rigging techniques viii. Efficiently and safely operate mobile cranes to lift, move, and position heavy objects, equipment, and materials in accordance with project requirements. ix. Effectively communicate with team members, including signal personnel, riggers, and supervisors, to ensure coordinated and safe lifting operations. x. After the lifting operations ensure that the crane is cleaned and safely parked.
