My name is Gamze Gormen. I am MSc graduated 7+ experienced FPGA design engineer who has strong background for aerospace applications. During recent times, my husband received a job offer from Abu Dhabi. Therefore, we decided to relocate to Abu Dhabi since it is highly valuable to place to live and work. As the outcome of our decision, my intension is to have an appropriate job which would be fit for my professional background. I performed detailed research on job market and your company could be an outstanding opportunity for me to work with.
Currently I am working as Lead FPGA Design Engineer in Turkish Aerospace since beginning of my career which is one of the leading companies in Turkey within the scope of aerospace and defence market. During this time; I have designed and verified FPGA-based on-board computers and platform interface units, implemented and integrated critical communication protocols on FPGA and developed MRAM/SDRAM memory controllers and advanced error detection mechanisms.
As part of my Master`s thesis, I focused extensively on super-resolution deep learning networks and their integration into FPGA platforms. I selected and configured the appropriate hardware and software environment to enable deployment, utilizing Xilinx`s Vitis AI platform on Ubuntu to meet network`s computational requirements. I conducted trade-off analyses based on the network`s layer-specific demands and deployed different configurations of PetaLinux operating systems on the Kria KV260 development board. This allowed me to successfully run the deep learning models directly on FPGA, achieving efficient hardware acceleration for super-resolution tasks.
This experience has equipped me with the ability to deliver high-reliability, mission critical FPGA solutions for aerospace and defence applications, bridging both hardware and software domains.
