Skills:
Nutritional Assessment: Ability to assess patients’ dietary intake, anthropometry, lab results, and medical history.
Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT): Designing therapeutic diets for conditions like diabetes, cardiovascular disease, renal disorders, GI issues, and oncology.
Enteral & Parenteral Nutrition: Knowledge of tube feeding, TPN (total parenteral nutrition), and monitoring for complications.
Diet Planning & Menu Development: Creating meal plans for individuals, institutions, or community programs.
Food Safety & Hygiene: Understanding regulations, HACCP, and infection control standards.
Nutrient Analysis: Using software or tools to calculate nutrient content in foods and meals.
Research & Evidence-Based Practice: Interpreting scientific literature to guide clinical decisions and interventions.
