Cash Management: Count the cash registers (tills), prepare bank deposits, and perform the end-of-day sales reconciliation.
Staff Management: Conduct a daily team huddle (brief meeting), set sales goals for the day, and clearly delegate tasks to the staff.
Floor Walk & Visuals: Perform a detailed walk-through of the sales floor to ensure cleanliness, check product displays, correct pricing, and address any immediate hazards.
Customer Service: Handle and resolve escalated customer complaints or complex issues personally.
Inventory Check: Perform quick stock checks on fast-moving items and replenish (restock) shelves as needed throughout the day.
Sales Analysis: Review weekly sales reports, analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) like conversion rates and average transaction value, and adjust strategies.
Scheduling: Create and finalize the staff schedule (roster), ensuring optimal coverage during peak hours while managing labor costs.
Staff Coaching: Hold one-on-one coaching sessions with team members to review their performance, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs.
Inventory Ordering: Coordinate with vendors/suppliers to place new stock orders based on sales velocity and current stock levels.
