PROJECTS:
CAPSTONE PROJECT ON RESEARCH ON THE ANTIMICROBIAL EFFICACY OF NANAOFIBERS AND
NANOPARTICLES AGAINST VARIOUS BACTERIAL AND FUNGAL STRAINS. September 2024 – May 2025
Under the supervision of Dr. Manish Thakur and Dr. Awadhesh Verma, I carried out a research project focusing on the
laboratory synthesis and biological evaluation of zinc oxide (ZnO) and magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs). These
nanoparticles were synthesized using standard chemical methods and tested for their antimicrobial properties against
selected microorganisms such as Aspergillus niger (fungus) and Escherichia coli (bacteria).
In this study, nanoparticles were incorporated into microbial growth media to observe their antifungal and
antibacterial activities through inhibition zone measurements and growth suppression analysis. The project aimed to
explore the biomedical potential of nanomaterials, particularly in areas such as targeted drug delivery, antimicrobial
coatings, and infection control in healthcare environments.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROJECT June 2023
• As part of a community engagement initiative, I volunteered at Guru Nanak Mission, supporting children and adults
with disabilities as well as single parents living under challenging conditions. The project focused on promoting
inclusivity, empowerment, and emotional well-being. I worked closely with visually impaired individuals, helping
them gain confidence and realize their ability to contribute meaningfully to society. Additionally, I organized and
conducted recreational games and interactive activities to create a joyful and engaging environment. This experience
deepened my understanding of social responsibility, empathy, and the power of community-based support in uplifting
vulnerable populations.
