Experience:
With over eight years of progressive experience in structural design, site supervision, and post-disaster rehabilitation, I have successfully delivered complex civil engineering projects across Syria and Nigeria. My career began with large-scale site supervision, where I coordinated an 800,000 m² residential development spanning 140 buildings, ensuring rigorous quality and safety compliance. I later advanced to a Design Engineer role at Enana Company, applying advanced seismic analysis and energy-dissipating systems to optimize structural resilience. Concurrently, I executed critical retrofit projects, including six earthquake-damaged schools for the Norwegian Refugee Council and a military facility under UNDF & UNSO mandates. I also expanded my international expertise through a site engineering role with Sana Company in Nigeria, adapting to diverse regulatory and environmental standards. Proficient in Etabs, Safe, Revit, and Archicad, I merge a strong academic foundation in earthquake engineering with hands-on project delivery. Education:
I hold a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Damascus University (2013), where I excelled in earthquake-resistant design disciplines—achieving 94% in Structural Analysis and 97% in Dynamics. I further advanced my expertise through a Master's degree at the Higher Institute for Earthquake Engineering in Damascus, specializing in seismic energy dissipation systems. My graduate research focused on Buckling-Restrained Braces (BRBs) as innovative connectors between frames and shear walls to optimize structural behavior during seismic events. Complementing my academic foundation, I have pursued targeted technical training in industry-leading software: Etabs and Safe (2012), followed by Revit and Archicad (2018).
