I am an award-winning Kenyan media and communications professional with over 12 years of experience across broadcast journalism, video production, digital media, social media management, and ICT. I am a member of the Media Council of Kenya (MCK040197) and hold a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media and Communication from Mount Kenya University, alongside a Certificate in Journalism with Distinction.
My career began in content writing and marketing before progressing into broadcast journalism. I served as a Producer, Presenter, Video Director, and Reporter at TV47–Cape Media from 2019 to 2021, where I won the Reporter of the Month Award in May 2019, led production of Mboni ya TV47 which won the Talent-Preneur Awards Kenya 2020 Show of the Year, and was nominated for the ICFJ Knight International Journalism Award 2020. I also contributed post-production support to the BBC East Africa Bureau as an independent video editor.
Beyond broadcast, I have lectured journalism and media studies at Talanta Institute, teaching subjects including Television Journalism, Film Directing, Scriptwriting, Camera Operations, and Media Law. I have also hosted and produced the full season of the Anza Business Show on ORAC Branding as an on-camera presenter.
Since March 2024, I have been working with the Kiambu National Government NG-CDF, holding multiple roles simultaneously — as ICT Officer, Videographer and Video Editor, and Social Media Manager. I have managed the constituency's digital presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, X, and TikTok, produced official government video content, and strengthened the organisation's cybersecurity infrastructure. In April 2025, I was appointed Centre Manager of the Ndumberi Jitume Digital Hub, where I oversee daily operations, coordinate digital literacy training under the government's Ajira/Jitume initiative, and deliver modules in AI, Social Media Management, Graphic Design, and Cybersecurity.
I am proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Audition, and a wide range of AI tools including Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Midjourney, and Jasper AI. I am fluent in both English and Kiswahili, and I have received professional training from the European Journalism Center, ARRI Film Studios, and the Mentor Me Project. I was also nominated for the Star Person of the Year 2025 by The Star Newspaper.
