Hello Hiring Manager Iam a Zimbabwean man residing in South Africa with more than 12 years welding experience as a pipe welder/ stick welder /structural steel welder and mig /mag welder in the gas, oil and water pipelines construction industry on sites and factories workshops. My duties being welding, maintenance work, basic fabrication and fettling duties. I also was a team leader in other waterline projects namely Lesotho water pipelines in Lesotho and Mooi River pipeline in South Africa. I led my team to finish all the set tasks before due date for end of the project. I also have 8 years foundry experience working in the Iron and Steel foundry manufacturing heavy engineering industry as a foundry manual machine operator. My duties were foundry work, operating an overhead crane and casting. I was also a shop steward for the Cast Iron Department and became the Secretary for the company Workers committee. Currently iam employed as a stick welder /Mag /mig welder at a pipe fittings manufacturing company in Pretoria South Africa. I have a National Foundation Certificate in Welding Technics from Bulawayo Polytechnic College in Zimbabwe and I completed my GCE 'O 'Level Cambridge Certificate at Gifford Boys High School in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe obtaining 5 subject passes including English which i can write, read and speak fluently. I also can do mathematics calculations and measurements including reading of blueprints I can use portable electrical tools and power tools, hand tools, bench tools as well as oxyacetylene torch and i can operate an overhead crane. I can cut, grind, bevel, rivet, bolt, fasten, gouge, clamp, mark, measure, fit flanged fittings, tack weld, Root, Filler and Cap weld, butt, socket and fillet joints also Deep Layer and 3 Layer mig/mag welding.
