Job Description • Plan and manage routine, medium and long-term mechanical maintenance activities at relevant plant area to ensure maximum plant availability for achieving assigned production targets. • Assist Maintenance Manager to implement and maintain Company’s HSE, Engineering and ethical Standards and impart adequate training to staff, ensuring full compliance with these standards. • Execute all assigned plant modifications and improvement in relevant plant area ensuring asset integrity, reliability to meet current and longer term department plans and efficient operations • Assist Maintenance Manager to prepare, monitor and control revenue, inventory and capital budgets for relevant plant area for approval. Carry out expenditure within agreed budget, ensuring smooth operation at minimum cost. • Assists in planning annual shutdown and major equipment turnarounds and carries out complete overhaul rotating equipment. Reassembles and tests equipment in accordance with requirements or tests schedules and performance monitoring upon start-up. • Carries out the maintenance, repair and complete overhaul of various types of rotating equipments such as Pumps, Gear Boxes, Compressors, Steam Turbines, Gas Turbines and Cooling Tower Fans. (This includes the regular monitoring and rectification of defective equipment, disassembly, repair and reassembly of equipment and assisting in the installation and testing of new machinery) • Carries out routine preventive maintenance of machinery according to schedules in ammonia, urea and utility plants. (This includes changing oils, greasing, check or rectify alignment and repairs or replaces defective parts) • Troubleshooting equipment to reduce industrial down time and work with other trades persons to determine causes and recommend solution routes. • Ability to work closely with supervisors and other departments; be a team player/leader; good• Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety• orientation • Strong hands on experience of alignment techniques on various types of rotating machines. • Replacement of pump packing’s and mechanical seal (Cartridge Type) • Replacement or making new gasket as appropriate of rotating equipments heads & covers. • Strong knowledge of all types of bearings such as Frictional, Non-Frictional Tilting Pad Bearings. • Monitor condition of rotating machines using parameters including vibration, temperature, pressure and flow. • Use the following techniques and tools: o Precision tools, such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, levels, gauge blocks. o Hand tools, pneumatic tools, hydraulic tools and measuring tools. • Sound knowledge of PSM and leading as PSM champion and all PTW compliance.  Work without supervision inspection while carrying out duties.  Perform LOTOTO before doing any job as per PTW procedures at Plant. Takeover of all kind of work permits including JSA.  Basic Knowledge of Mechanical Drawing P&ID, PFD’s, Isometric Drawings and SOP’s.  I Have the Membership of Emergency Response Team (ERT) in FatimaFert Limited.  Ensures all required PPE’s at Plant & Read MSDS before using any Chemical.  Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics.
