BMW, England, October 2018 – August 2022:
Specialist Electronic (E/E) product and process planner.
- Project leader to install and commission electronic production systems,
leader from the initial planning phase through all major gateways ensuring
a successful installation.
- In-depth knowledge of production/manufacturing environments,
designing build processes, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement,
and quality gates.
- Successful launch of two vehicle models on time and to deadlines.
- Global working across the BMW worldwide network, liaised crossfunctionally with departments in procurement, production, operations.
Required adaptive communication and interpersonal skills.
- Engineering change management. Adapted production processes to
changes in the product. Highlighted and solved issues these changes may
have on internal production/test methods.
- Applied lean manufacturing principles to design test processes, in-line
with industry 4.0.
- Implementation, optimisation, and start-up of new production processes.
Vauxhall Motor Company, England, 2015 – 2016
Manufacturing Engineer
- Applying lean manufacturing skills such as PDCA, ISHIKAWA, and 5 why’s
improve yield and efficiency. Successfully improved the output of a robotic
cell, reducing its cycle time by 15 seconds.
- Monitored throughput figures for three production lines and identified
top bottlenecks. Communicated this information across departments and
worked together to reduce bottlenecks.
- Leading quality investigations to improve the geometry and fits of panels
on the vehicle. Involved organising trials, analysing results, and
implementing solutions.
- Developed processes used in production. Created a rotational tooling
protection process that monitored the wear of an operator’s tool. This
process was implemented throughout the group.
