Hybrid electric vehicle main purpose of Hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) typically use less fuel than similar conventional vehicles because they employ electric-drive technologies to boost vehicle efficiency through regenerative braking—recapturing energy otherwise lost during braking. As an electrical engineer my goal was to enable high performance and fuel economy over a range of conditions by allowing the vehicle to function optimally in two separate modes: low speed/light load and high speed/heavy load. Two-mode hybrid buses achieve up to 50% better fuel economy than conventional buses.
Our final year project was then nominated to participate in SEE Pakistan expo organized under entrepreneurship bootcamp to present our idea to get it commercialized. We got the attention of most of the investors and were among the list of top 10 contenders nationwide.
