I am a proven hospitality professional who has gained significant experience and acquired relevant skills that will be beneficial for this role. I have 5+ years’ experience in managerial positions in the hospitality industry specialising in restaurant establishments. As the head of the waiting team and supervisor of Tulye UG and Café Java respectively, I dealt with customers from different walks of life and ensured that they were satisfied with my waiting team and customer services. Furthermore, I was responsible for managing and training staff to ensure smooth operation of establishments and increased sales using marketing and sales techniques. I was responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the respective establishments and here I established strong business relationships with clients and employees, and this improved my customer, organisation, and interpersonal skills. Besides my hospitality experience, I have gained leadership skills through my health and social voluntary roles. Some of my duties required working in local community to overcome the relevant issues that were faced. This required teaching a group of people from the local community new skills, mentoring the youth and later became a person who set an example in behaviour. I am a quick learner and a natural problem solver who can understand new information at a speedy pace, able to adapt to a variety of environments, knows the major issues that are faced in a restaurant establishment and able to come up with achievable solutions.
