I am a widely knowledgeable welder with 21 years' experience working with various metals including stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum bronze, Cast iron, Duplex SS308 and 316. I am proficient in SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, gas cutting, grinding and dressing, fabrication, and heating. I have working knowledge of engineering standards; ASME 1X, ASTM, PD5500, TEMA. I have working knowledge of software; STADD Pro, SAP, TEKLA, Compress and AutoCAD. I can read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols to determine specific welding requirements. I have good communication skills in both written and spoken English language. I have the physical ability to stand and walk for long hours during a workday. I have the manual ability to operate various welding equipment, determine the right amperage, voltage, slope and pulse from welding units. I can weld in horizontal, vertical and overhead positions (1F to 4F, and 1G to 6G) I know how to examine welds’ bead sizes. I can repair parts and fill weld holes. I know how to clamp work pieces and assemble them for fixtures. I understand the importance and procedure of chipping off excess slag and spatter, cleaning and de-greasing parts. I can do the needed maintenance and minor repairs to welding equipment. I know how to handle transit welded material and transporting finished products from the welding yard.
