Experience:
Renata Duch is Head of M&A at Gerdau and she has professional experience in the financial
area and as business intermediate between Brazil and China.
At Gerdau, Renata is responsible for all M&A projects the Company is involved, in Brazil and
internationally. She is part of end to end M&A process, from financial modeling, commercial
negotiation, contracts/ agreements negotiations, reviewing contracts/ agreements, apports
planning (when Gerdau is the investor), Investor Relations publications, until closing.
Moreover, Renata is part of the Strategy process of the Company, assisting the VP in strategic
decisions, movements the Company will make and every strategic project the Company is
involved globally.
Renata worked at EY for Valuation and M&A, Xingu Capital (an M&A boutique) and Deloitte
Corporate Finance and Chinese Service Group’s team in Brazil and China. She participated on
different kinds of projects such as: Capital Project, Real Estate, Valuation, in different business
sectors, as: manufacture, automobilistic, agrobusiness, airports, sanitation, financial industry,
real estate investimentos, food and beverage, construction, among others.
Between 2008 and 2012, she lived in Beijing (China), where she studied MBA at Beijing
Jiaotong University. In China, she also represented and intermediated Mul-T-Lock do Brasil
businesses (2009 – 2011).
Previasly, she worked at the investment area of a Family office, being active in the whole
investment process – from the investment opportunity research and analysis, passing through
the decision and asset allocation process, untill gain computing.
She graduated on Business and Administration from São Judas Tadeu University and she has a
MBA and Master Degree from Beijing Jiaotong University(Thesis Research on: “Foreign Direct
Investment Development between Brazil and China”).
Renata is fluent English and Mandarin and has an intermediate level of Spanish
