Experience:
Dedicated teacher with 10 years’ experience teaching across Early Years, College and University, with a proven ability to create a positive and imaginative learning environment for pupils. As a committed and experienced teaching professional, I love working with children and contributing to their development. I have been recognised for my work ethic, extensive knowledge on successful lesson planning and for enhancing the learning experience for pupils. Alongside full time teaching in the classroom, I have given specialist lectures, delivered Makaton training and SEN awareness.
My current job role is of an Early Years Special Needs Assistant and includes the following responsibilities.
• Working 1-1 with disabled children & children with special needs such as Autism, ADHD& Down Syndrome.
• Working closely with parents and careers, liaising alongside healthcare therapists such as Occupational Therapists and Speech &Language.
• Using Makaton sign language on a daily basis.
• Assisting Nursery nurse and teacher with lesson planning, activities and project lessons. Often solely carrying out group activities.
• Maintaining an accurate knowledge of the EYFS and UK curriculum.
• Yearly training on Safeguarding, Prevent and Paediatric first aid.
• Running weekly playgroup sessions
• Responsible for digital art, marketing and design to help promote nursery. Work was featured in local magazines.
