Undertaking accurate documentation to enable the continuity of care.
Inserting of nasogastric tube.
Collecting blood specimens and sending them to the laboratory for investigations.
Administering oral, topical, and parenteral medications according to the medical order or hospital policies.
Participating in the nurses and doctors ward rounds to evaluate the actual and potential response to therapeutic interventions.
Educating members of the family and the caregivers on the treatment options available.
Using nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate nursing actions.
Providing emotional support to children and their caregivers to relieve anxiety when undergoing a difficult procedure.
Performing physical examination and collecting samples for diagnostic testing.
Undertaking nutritional assessment of malnourished children.
