Database Administrator

The Database Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the security, availability, and performance of the company's databases. They will handle the installation, configuration, and maintenance of database systems as well as troubleshoot any issues that may arise. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of database management systems and be able to work well under pressure. This position is suitable for men and those without experience are welcome to apply. Visa and ticket will be provided for Indian nationals. This is a full-time position based in Acre with a salary of $1500.

As a Database Administrator, your responsibilities will include:

- Installing and configuring database systems according to company standards
- Ensuring data security and integrity through regular backups and disaster recovery plans
- Monitoring database performance and making necessary adjustments to optimize system efficiency
- Troubleshooting any technical issues related to databases
- Collaborating with development teams to ensure databases meet application requirements
- Conducting regular audits to identify potential issues or areas for improvement
- Providing on-call support for urgent database matters

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g. MySQL, SQL Server)
- Experience with database design, data mining, and data warehouse concepts
- Familiarity with data backup, recovery, and security protocols
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
