Job Title:Mason



As a skilled Mason, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures made of brick, concrete blocks, or stones. You will work with a team of builders and contractors to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and to high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lay out patterns or foundations according to blueprints or specifications
- Cut or break bricks, stones, or blocks to the desired size and shape using hand tools
- Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto surfaces using trowels
- Align structures vertically and horizontally using plumb bob, gauge lines, or levels
- Repair old or damaged structures by replacing broken bricks or stones
- Clean excess mortar from brickwork using tools such as wire brushes
- Install reinforcing bars in concrete if needed
- Operate machinery such as forklifts or cherry pickers to transport materials
- Follow safety procedures at all times while working on construction sites

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Mason in a construction setting
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and follow specifications accurately
- Proficient in using hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, etc.
- Familiarity with mixing mortar and grout according to ratios
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work precisely within given timeframes
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Salary: $1600 per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Nairobi (accommodation not provided)
