Librarian for a Public Library in Shan



We are searching for an experienced and dedicated Librarian to join our team at a busy public library in the city of Shan. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the library, including organizing and cataloging books, assisting patrons with their inquiries, and overseeing library events and programs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the circulation of materials, including checking out and returning books, tracking overdue items, and processing fines.
- Organize and maintain the library's collection by cataloging new materials, shelving books, and weeding out outdated or damaged items.
- Assist patrons with finding materials, conducting research, and using library resources.
- Create engaging displays and promote library services through social media and other marketing strategies.
- Plan and coordinate library events such as author talks, book clubs, and workshops.
- Train new staff members on library procedures and policies.
- Stay up-to-date with current trends in literature, technology, and other related fields to improve library services.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field.
- Previous experience working in a library setting preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with diverse groups of people.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with computer systems and basic knowledge of library databases.
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Salary:
The salary for this position is $900 per month.

Location:
This position is located in Shan City but candidates from other cities are also welcome to apply.
