Blast Furnace Operator
Location: Nairobi, Kenya


A blast furnace operator is responsible for the operation and maintenance of a blast furnace used in the production of iron or steel. This position requires physical strength and stamina as well as technical skills to ensure the smooth operation of the furnace.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and adjust the flow of raw materials into the blast furnace according to production schedules
- Control temperature, pressure, and chemical composition within the furnace
- Regularly inspect and maintain equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during production
- Coordinate with other workers to transport materials and remove waste from the furnace area
- Follow safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Previous experience working in a blast furnace or similar industrial setting preferred
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects and work in hot environments
- Basic understanding of mechanics, chemistry, and physics principles
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1600 per month.

Contract:
This is a contract position with no guaranteed length. The duration will depend on the needs of the company.
