Glass Installation Technician

We are seeking a skilled Glass Installation Technician to join our growing team in Remish. As a Glass Installation Technician, you will be responsible for installing and repairing various types of glass, including windows, doors, and mirrors. You will also be responsible for measuring and cutting glass to fit specific frames and ensuring proper installation techniques are used to prevent breakage or damage.

To excel in this role, you should have prior experience as a Glazier or in a similar role, with strong knowledge of different types of glass and glazing techniques. Attention to detail and the ability to read blueprints and follow instructions are essential.

Responsibilities:

- Measure and cut glass to fit specific frames
- Install glass in windows, doors, or other structures
- Repair broken or damaged glass using appropriate techniques
- Follow safety procedures at all times to prevent injury
- Use hand tools and equipment such as drills, saws, and glass cutters
- Read blueprints or other specifications to determine the type of glass required for each job
- Ensure proper sealing and weatherproofing around installed glass
- Communicate with clients regarding job progress and any necessary changes

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Glazier or similar role
- Strong knowledge of different types of glass and glazing techniques
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately
- Attention to detail with excellent hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good communication skills for interacting with clients
