Librarian for English Speaking Library in El-Ain

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our English speaking library in El-Ain. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our collection of books, periodicals, and other materials. You will also assist library patrons with finding and accessing resources, as well as maintaining the library's online catalog.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Library Science or a related field, as well as experience working in a library setting. Proficiency in English is essential for this role, as all of our materials are in English. We are looking for someone who is passionate about literature and can provide excellent customer service to our diverse group of patrons.

This is a full-time position with a salary of 1500$ per month. Accommodation will be provided for the successful candidate. This position is suitable for men from Pakistan or Canada who are fluent in English and have experience working as a librarian.

Responsibilities:
- Catalog and organize all library materials according to the Dewey Decimal System
- Assist patrons with finding and accessing resources
- Answer reference questions and provide recommendations to patrons
- Manage loaning system for checking out materials
- Maintain an accurate online catalog of all library materials
- Keep the library space clean and organized
- Plan and host events such as book clubs or author talks
- Stay up-to-date on current literature trends

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Experience working in a library setting preferred
- Fluent in English with strong communication skills
- Highly organized with great attention to detail
- Customer service oriented with excellent interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of the Dewey Decimal System
- Ability to work independently
- Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 20 lbs)
