Librarian – Mombasa, Kenya


We are in need of a highly organized and knowledgeable Librarian to join our team in Mombasa, Kenya. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's resources and services, as well as assisting library patrons with their research needs. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong knowledge of library systems and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the acquisition, cataloging, and circulation of library materials
- Develop and maintain the library's collections to meet the needs of patrons
- Assist patrons with research inquiries and provide reference services
- Ensure that the library is organized and well-maintained at all times
- Train and supervise library staff
- Plan and coordinate events and programs to promote library services
- Keep up-to-date with new technologies and resources for libraries

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
- Strong knowledge of library management systems and procedures
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficient in using technology for research purposes
- Fluent in English (knowledge of other languages is an advantage)
- Ability to work flexible hours when needed

Salary:
Salary for this position is $1300 per month.
