Senior Developer - Svalbard



We are in need of a skilled and experienced Senior Developer to join our growing team in Svalbard. As a Senior Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software applications. Your primary focus will be on creating efficient and scalable code, as well as working closely with the rest of the development team to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

- Designing and implementing software solutions that meet business requirements
- Writing clean, efficient, and scalable code using programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain software applications
- Troubleshooting and debugging code to identify and resolve technical issues
- Conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback to ensure code quality
- Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices
- Mentoring junior developers to help them grow their skills

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a software developer
- Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, C++, Python)
- Experience with agile development methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Familiarity with web development frameworks like Angular or React
- Knowledge of database design and management systems (SQL or NoSQL)
- Previous experience leading projects or mentoring junior developers
