Moderator for International Events - English Speaking
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Moderator for International Events. As a Moderator, you will be responsible for facilitating discussions and ensuring smooth communication between participants at various events, conferences, and seminars. This position is suitable for both Africans and Canadians who are fluent in English.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a mediator between participants during discussions and Q&A sessions
- Ensure that all attendees have equal opportunity to speak and contribute to the conversation
- Introduce speakers and manage the flow of presentations
- Monitor time limits for presentations and discussions
- Encourage audience engagement through interactive activities
- Address any conflicts or disruptions that may arise during the event
- Collaborate with event organizers to ensure all technical needs are met (e.g. microphones, projectors)
- Maintain professionalism and neutrality throughout the event
Requirements:
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well under pressure
- Experience in public speaking or moderating events is an asset
- Willingness to travel to different locations for events (accommodation will be provided)
- Biometric passport is required for international travel
