We are seeking a qualified Librarian to join our team at our library in Albena, Bulgaria. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for organizing and managing our collection of books, documents, and other materials. Your main duties will include cataloging and classifying materials, assisting patrons with research and reference questions, and overseeing the library's operations. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Library Science or a related field, strong organizational skills, and excellent customer service abilities. Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain the library's collection of books, documents, and other materials
- Catalog and classify materials using appropriate systems
- Assist patrons with research and reference questions
- Manage circulation of materials, including checking items in/out and collecting fines
- Oversee daily operations of the library
- Develop and implement programs to promote literacy and engage the community with the library
- Collaborate with other librarians to plan events and activities
- Stay updated on new technologies related to libraries

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Knowledge of cataloging systems (e.g. Dewey Decimal System)
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer service oriented
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficient in using technology including computers, databases, e-books etc.

Preferred:
- Previous experience working in a library setting
- Familiarity with Bulgarian language/culture

Salary:
Starting salary is 1600$ per month.

Location:
The position is based in Albena, Bulgaria.

Freshers:
This position is open to both experienced professionals and fresh graduates looking for an opportunity to start their career in the field of library science. Training and mentorship will be provided for freshers to develop their skills and knowledge.

English proficiency:
Proficiency in English is required for this position as it is the primary language used in the library. Some knowledge of Bulgarian language would be beneficial but not required.
