Dietitian - Nutrition Specialist



As a Dietitian - Nutrition Specialist for our healthcare facility in Khasab, you will be responsible for providing evidence-based nutritional care to patients. Your role will involve assessing the dietary needs of patients and developing personalized meal plans to meet their specific health goals. You will work closely with medical professionals to ensure the best possible nutrition for patients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct nutrition assessments and develop individualized meal plans for patients based on their medical conditions, preferences, and cultural backgrounds
- Educate patients on proper nutrition and provide counseling on healthy eating habits
- Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to meal plans as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient progress and treatment plans
- Stay up-to-date with current research and developments in the field of nutrition to provide evidence-based care

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Dietitian or Nutritionist in a healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of nutrition principles, theories, and practices
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Fluent in English (knowledge of Malayalam is an advantage)
- Valid license to practice as a Dietitian from the Ministry of Health in Oman (or eligible for licensure)
- Willingness to work flexible hours if needed
